About USAID RWANU Project:
Concern Worldwide Uganda is recruiting for two positions for the
USAID-funded PL 480 Title II Development Food Aid programme called “Resiliency
through Wealth, Agriculture and Nutrition” (RWANU) in Karamoja and for a
potential short-term project. RWANU will focus on two strategic objectives to
reduce food insecurity among vulnerable rural populations in selected
sub-counties in 4 districts of Karamoja.
Job Summary: The Field
Coordinator work is to manage and plan trainings of Health Promoters and Health
Educators. In addition, the Field Coordinator will plan training activities in
line with food distribution procedures.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience: 
  • The applicant should hold a degree in
    community development, preference for a degree in a Health related field.
  • Three years’ experience in health and
    nutrition related development work in a challenging environment,
    preferably with an International NGO.
  • The candidate should have, at minimum, a
    basic understanding of Ngakarimojong and be proficient in English language
    both oral and written
  • Strong understanding of health related issues
    affecting poverty and the latest approaches to development, prior
    experience in management or coordination activities, and demonstrated
    experience in integrating cross cutting issues.
