Job Summary: The IT
Support Specialist will work closely with the Analyst in providing end-user IT
supports to internal and/or external customers within the client.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Offer
general first level technical support to end users organisation-wide
including the creation of user accounts. - Quickly
resolve first level faults and attend to requests from the call centre and
other end-users. - Work
closely with the Service Desk team to ensure trouble tickets and incidents
are resolved efficiently and in a timely manner in line with agreed SLAs. - Research
new technologies and approaches to meeting and exceeding customer needs
and proffer recommendations to the Manager, User Support. - Develop
and maintain an effective database of historical information about
previous user issues. - Assist
in preparing and presenting reliable trend analyses to help determine
focus areas and develop proactive approaches to faults management. - Liaise
with relevant unit/ team/function in carrying out all relevant activities. - Attend
team/divisional/departmental meetings as required. - Offer
guidance and manage the performance of subordinates (where applicable). - Compile
and prepare periodic activity and performance reports for the attention of
the Manager, User Support. - Perform
any other duties as assigned by the Manager, User Support
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The
applicant should hold a first degree or its equivalent in a relevant
discipline. - At
least two years’ experience in a similar role.
