based in Atlanta, an Operational Headquarters based in Americus, Georgia, and
Area Office bases of operations in Manilla, Philippines for our Asia and
Pacific work, San Jose, Costa Rica for our Latin American and Caribbean work
and Bratislava, Slovakia for our Europe, the Middle East and Africa work.
Job Summary: The Housing Microfinance (HMF) Program
Assistant will offer programming and planning support to the HMF department.
Key Duties and
Responsibilities: 
  • Working with the Branch Supervisors,
    provide leadership during loan recovery and verification activities among
    the clients served by the HMF Retail branches.
  • Working closely with the Branch
    Supervisors, provide leadership during client marketing / mobilization
    campaigns in the community served by the branches.
  • Support the Branch Supervisors in all
    decisions related to extending housing credit facilities to customers.
  • Implement Credit Management policies and
    procedures for both the BIS and HMF portfolios.
  • Filing and managing schedules, while also
    assisting in budget oversight and event planning.
  • Schedule field supervision trips
  • Compile field and oversee monthly,
    quarterly and branch/project/programme reports.
  • Maintain physical and computerized office
    records for programme and HMF Partners.
  • Assist in monitoring implementation plans
    of HMF Partners and ensuring compliance with Partnership MOUs.
  • Keep HMF Inventories supplies and
    re-orders as necessary.
  • Work in liaison with the Loan Collectors
    to ensure that mortgage repayments are made in accordance with set
    standards.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by
    his/her Supervisors.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience: 
  • The candidate should hold a good
    University degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Finance,
    Management, Economics or Social Sciences.
  • A minimum of two or more years’ experience
    of micro-finance and directly supervising professional staff.
  • Demonstrable aptitude for teamwork.
  • High level of people management and
    mentoring skills
  • Exhibits ability to multitask on a regular
    basis
  • Demonstrates ability to think creatively
    to assist in special event planning and marketing
  • High level of interpersonal skills.
  • Good organizational and project management
    skills
  • Excellent persuasion, negotiation and
    analytical skills
  • Good communication skills both verbal and
    written
  • Is proficient in the use of Microsoft
    programs such as Word, Excel, and Power Point
  • Willingness to uphold the Christian values​​
    and principles of Habitat for Humanity
  • This position requires the ability to
    multitask, a familiarity with the microfinance sector, and strong
    interpersonal skills.
