About UWA:
Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA)
was established in 1996 and is managed in accordance with the Wildlife Act Cap
200. The Mission of UWA is: “To conserve, economically develop and sustainably
manage the wildlife and protected areas of Uganda in partnership with
neighbouring communities and other stakeholders for the benefit of the people
of Uganda and the global community.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The
    jobholder should have an Honors Bachelor’s Degree in either Commerce
    (Accounts Option) or Business Administration (Accounts Option) or
    Accounting and Finance or full professional CPA or ACCA.
  • Computer
    proficiency with a strong understanding and use of Audit software and Sun
    System accounting package is a must
  • A
    minimum of two or more years’ relevant working experience from a reputable
    Organization.
  • Excellent
    understanding of auditing techniques.
  • Highly
    proactive approach and the ability to work autonomously and as part of a
    team
  • Excellent
    analytical skills
  • Detailed
    working knowledge of professional auditing and accounting standards and
    guidelines
  • Excellent
    oral and written communication skills.
  • Skills
    in Monitoring and Evaluation.
