Job Title: Nutritionist
Organization: Mildmay Uganda
Duty Station: Kampala, Uganda
Reports to: Clinical Services Manager
About Mildmay:
Mildmay Uganda is an HIV/AIDS treatment and training centre also
providing Health Systems Strengthening to scale up comprehensive HIV/AIDS
Services in 16 districts of Central Uganda. It is situated on Entebbe Road,
Lweza, south of Kampala, Uganda.
Job Summary: The Nutritionist will mainly be responsible
for providing quality nutrition care to patients and their families so as to
contribute to the improvement of the quality of life of clients at Mildmay
Uganda and their communities.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience: 
  • The candidate should possess a good
    Bachelor’s degree in Human Nutrition and Dietetics Or Food science.
    Training in Intergrated Management of Acute Malnutrition will be an added
    advantage.
  • Two or more  years’ experience in clinical and
    community nutrition and 1 year’s experience in HIV/AIDS management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal
    skills
  • Computer literacy i.e. Proficiency in
    various MS office packages and working knowledge of English and local
    language(s) are crucial.
  • Hard working, trust-worthy, and holding
    the highest levels of integrity and confidentiality. Must be flexible, reliable,
  • Ability to work under pressure; and in
    sympathy with the Christian values of Mildmay Uganda. Evidence of a
    non-judgemental approach regarding race, religion, culture, sexuality and
    lifestyle is critical.
