Institution license and joined a list of financial institutions regulated by
Bank of Uganda,
Job Summary: The Reconciliation Officer – Finance and
Banking Operations will mainly reconcile transactions across the general ledger
and sub ledgers together with key accounts. The incumbent shall also be
responsible to ensure all outstanding items as per set policies and procedures
are reconciled.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
·
Prepare
bank reconciliations for all the branch accounts.
·
Reconciling
payments to ensure the accounting system reflects the correct transactions.
·
General
ledger reconciliations.
·
Preparing
adjusting journal for reconciling items resulting from the reconciliation of
the bank accounts and general ledgers.
·
Generate
daily and month end reconciliation reports.
·
Supporting
daily and month reconciliation process.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
·
The
ideal candidate for the BRAC Reconciliation Officer – Finance and Banking
Operations job must hold a Bachelor’s Degree In Accounting, Finance,
Statistics, Economics
·
CPA/ACCA
is added advantage
·
At least
two years of experience in the financial industry;
·
Experience
in, corporate finance, financial planning and analysis, investment and other
related fields.
·
Knowledge
of accounting, operational and financial reporting.
·
Appropriate
handling of sensitive information.
·
Strong
working knowledge of Excel.
·
Excellent
Analytical, decision making and problem-solving skills.
·
High
level of attention to detail.
·
Self-starter
with Strong interpersonal/ communication skills.
·
Ability
to work to deadlines
