Key Duties and
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
- Prepare industrial park physical
development plans (structure and detailed) and development guidelines. - Intuitively study the provision of
transportation networks, communication lines, water distribution,
electricity and other utilities at each site within the industrial and
business parks. - Carry out site and location analysis
studies to review all potential sites for the establishment of Industrial
and Business parks. - Actively participate in Environmental
Impact Assessment studies and Implementing Earthworks for infrastructure
development within the parks. - Conduct physical development controls in the
industrial parks to ensure that the developments are consistent with the
approved physical development plans. - The Planner will prepare terms of
reference for physical development planning, feasibility, engineering
services studies for industrial and Business sites. - Develop appropriate land use zoning in the
development of industrial and business parks countrywide and ensure that
they are planned in conformity with existing national and local planning
regulatory requirements. - Carry out research on identified physical
planning issues and propose corrective action. - In charge of building networks with
relevant Physical planning authorities, institutions and other
stakeholders.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
Experience:
- The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor’s
degree in Physical /Urban Planning or land Economics or Land. Possession
of a Post Graduate Diploma in
Project Planning and Management, Urban design, Cartography or GIS
Operation will be an added advantage - Three or more years working experience in
Physical Planning in a reputable Institution. - Affiliation to a Professional
Urban/Physical planning body or the equivalent. - Advanced computer skills in Arc GIS,
AutoCAD, Database management and MS Project;
