Job Summary: The Mannya
Construction Company Manager will be responsible for driving advancements in
quality infrastructure projects for the Cotton On Foundation Uganda and other
clients. The job holder will be responsible for leading the Infrastructure Action
Plan. By 2020, based on Needs Analysis and in consultation with COF global
team. COF will have built a large range of well-designed and robust health,
education and supporting infrastructure facilities across multiple villages
that will support quality education, health and livelihood development in
outreach villages across Southern Uganda. These built projects are critical to
creating further livelihood opportunities for communities supported by the COF.
The successful applicant will be committed to the Cotton-On Foundation (COF)
goal of establishing 20,000 educational places by 2020.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The
    ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Science or
    Construction Manager. Possession of a Masters qualifications would be
    advantageous.
  • Valid
    registration certificate with the Uganda Institution of Professional
    Engineers (UIPE).
  • At
    least seven years’ infrastructure programme management experience in
    Uganda
  • Significant
    experience in producing architectural and structural drawings
  • Past
    exposure and experience in preparing and evaluating bid documents
  • Past
    experience of leading and managing a team
  • Computer
    literacy skills with a high level of knowledge and practice using Auto CAD
    and Microsoft Office.
