• Actively
  participate in the assessment and update of the current research strategy
  so as to ensure focus in the identification and implementation of MUg
  research activities
• Signficantly
  contribute to the Design, Implementation and Coordination of
  studies/evaluations conducted by MUg and/or collaborating teams to ensure
  achievement of study objectives.
• Actively
  engage in the compiling and documenting of lessons and best practices for
  MUg so that policy and programming are informed and kept relevant
• Participate
  in the departmental operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in
  all the operations of the institutional review board in compliance with
  UNCST regulations.
• Actively
  engage in the developement of research proposals for reseach conduct and
  resource mobilisation for sustainability
• Perform
  any other tasks as may be assigned by your Supervisor.

• The
  candidate should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in either Public Health;
  Statistics; Population and Reproductive health or Social Sciences with
  post graduate qualification in any of these or other related field.
• S/he
  must have certificate qualification in research methodologies and research
  Ethics.
• S/he
  must have a minimum of three years of Operations Research experience in
  relevant health programs with demonstrable knowledge and understanding of
  health research; implementation research and research grant writing.
• Excellent
  communication and interpersonal skills, Proficiency in various Microsoft
  office packages and working knowledge of English and local language(s) are
  crucial.
• Skills
  in Abstract Writing are a requirement for this job.
• Ability
  to work under pressure; and in sympathy with the Christian values of
  Mildmay Uganda.
• Evidence
  of a non-judgemental approach regarding race, religion, culture, sexuality
  and lifestyle is critical.
