taking over the ­financial services business of Uganda Finance Trust Limited
(MDI). Today Finance Trust Bank is a fully ‑edged commercial bank serving a
clientele of over 240,000 depositors and over 26,000 borrowers, through a
network of 33 branches country wide. The bank offers a wide variety of Products
and services including; Savings, Current accounts, Loans, Money transfer
services and Bills payments to its target market which comprises of micro,
small and medium entrepreneurs, salary earners and youth.
Job
Summary: 
The Bank’s Branch Manager will provide
leadership to the branch team, coordinate and manage the business operations to
achieve set targets.
Key
Duties and Responsibilities:  
  • Plan, budget and co-ordinate
    branch operational & business activities.
  • In charge of growing the
    bank’s business in the branch in line with set targets for customer base, loan
    portfolio and deposits.
  • Manage the back office
    banking controls in line with the company’s risk management framework and
    policies.
  • Mentor and motivate branch
    staff i.e. subordinates in order to make them achieve their full
    potential.
  • Ensure that the liquidity
    position of the branch is in line with the established policies & procedures
    as well as the Bank of Uganda guidelines.
  • Manage branch assets in line
    with the branch assets policy
  • Present a positive image of
    the organization to all its’ various stakeholders.
Qualifications,
Skills and Experience:  
  • The candidate should possess
    a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Marketing, Accounting, Business Administration,
    social sciences or any other related discipline gained from a recognized
    university.
  • A minimum of six or more (6)
    years working experience, two (2) of which must have been gained from a leadership
    / supervisory position in a experience will be an added advantage).
  • Possess good leadership
    skills.
  • Possess excellent personal
    presentation skills
  • Good sales & marketing
    skills.
  • Possess excellent oral &
    written communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Good interpersonal &
    teamwork skills.
  • High level of integrity.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft
    Office applications.
  • Possess the ability to work
    well under pressure and with minimum supervision.
