Group Limited, an Electricity Distribution and Grid Management company. NFT
Human Resource Solutions are customer tailored per industry requirements and
are geared towards increased cost savings, process improvement leading to
improved efficiency and effectiveness yet simultaneously strengthening quality
and control of resources.
Job Summary:  The Business Development Manager will be responsible
for the coordination of the formulation, design, review and implementation of
the C & G Andijes Group Ltd business development strategy and ensure
alignment with group strategy.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Define
    and agree key targets for business development & growth in alignment
    with group.
  • Manage
    the planning, organisation and monitoring of all aspects of the bids from
    Expression of interest preparation to start of contract negotiations:
  • Undertake
    procurement activities to identify project opportunities for the group.
  • Ensure
    all EOIs/Tenders are properly administered
  • Prepare
    and regularly update the bid preparation work plan.
  • Carry
    out background research, document search and data collection for any bids
    relevant to the company business.
  • In
    charge of preparing documentation (CVs, Capability statements, project
    abstracts and draft sections of the tender where appropriate.
  • Works
    closely with technical, Logistics and finance team in development of BOQs
    and project budgets
  • Manage
    proposal document production and dispatch to meet the delivery deadline.
  • Identify
    critical initiatives required to tap synergy and forge implementation of
    the group’s diversification and growth strategy.
  • In
    charge of developing and implementing the marketing strategies for the
    different products, solutions and Services under the business development
    and growth portfolio. Including marketing of C & G brand products,
    solutions and services to private and government institutions.
  • Develop
    Business Case Analysis for the businesses justification and oversee the
    research and information gathering process for existing and new
    businesses.
  • Provide
    timely market intelligence information on products, solutions and services
    and own the products strategy and positioning process in alignment with
    the group
  • Showcasing
    and ensuring visibility of C & G Andijes Group Ltd in the energy
    sector and at conferences, trade fairs in and outside Uganda and the East
    African region.

    and surpassing revenue targets

    Growth in business projects and market share
  • Number
    of new product, contracts, solutions or services initiatives
  • Quality
    of business intelligence information
  • Quality
    of Business Case Analysis developed
  • Business
    continuity.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The
    ideal candidate should hold a degree preferably in business studies,
    projects or economics. An engineering background is an added background.
  • Excellent
    administrative skills with experience of three (3) previous working
    experience in related field.
  • Technical
    knowledge of the specific area of assignment and of overall company
    activities
  • Detailed
    knowledge of all C & G Andijes company businesses (Products, services
    and solution)
  • Working
    knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
  • Good
    research skills
  • Knowledge
    and experience of the international business development would be
    desirable
  • Good
    numeric skills including familiarity with basic financial documents (e.g.
    budgets)
  • Written
    skills including ability to summarise complex documents
  • High
    standard of both spoken and written English
  • Editing
    and proof-reading skills
  • High
    level of accuracy
  • Good
    communication skills and Good organisational skills with ability to use
    own initiative
  • Flexibility
    to cope with several jobs simultaneously to agreed deadlines
  • Ability
    to work effectively as part of a team
  • Professionalism
