and periodic maintenance of public roads.
will support the Manager Fund Management to plan and coordinate the execution
of financial transactions, the preparation of financial reports, generation and
submission of periodic financial reports in
accordance with International Acceptable Accounting Standards and organizational policies.
- Prepare
and implement annual financial and tax plans for Administrative expenses
of the Fund. - Interpret
and mainstream regular Treasury updates and instructions into the Fund
operations. - Carry
out budget planning, implementation and control within the financial
limits in performance agreements of Designated Agencies. - Actively
monitor and report on performance of Road User Maintenance Framework on a
quarterly basis. - Keenly
track and report on absorption of Road User Maintenance Funds by Designated Agencies
through analysis of accountabilities
submitted. - In
charge of planning and implementing the applicable component of Road User
Charges. - Execute
disbursements of the Fund and in accordance with performance agreements
executed with Designated Agencies. - Manage
URF bank accounts and prepare regular reconciliations. - Manage
and update the fixed assets register of the Fund. - Compile
and submit periodic reports of the Fund for presentation to Management. - Identify
investment opportunities, prepare plans and implement investment
strategies in accordance with the policy approved by the Board. - Perform
any other duties assigned by the Manager Fund Management from time to
time.
- The
ideal candidate for the Road Fund’s career opportunity should preferably
hold a bachelor’s degree in Commerce or Business Administration or
Accounting or Financial Management. Possession of a Master’s Degree in
Business Administration (Finance/ Accounting option) will be an added
advantage. - Professional
qualification in ACCA or CPA is a must. - At
least six years’ experience, three of which should be in a similar
environment in a reputable institution. - Working
knowledge of operating automated integrated financial management systems - Computer
literacy skills - Excellent
communication skills, written and verbal. - Possess
the ability to work under tight deadlines without compromising on quality. - Detailed
knowledge of road sector management and commercialization - Demonstrable
team leadership and good organization skills.
