Job Summary: The Head of Sales will be a commercially
experienced individual with a proven ability to establish and manage national
sales and marketing, including the recruitment and management of direct sales
agents. The applicant must be excited by new challenges and motivated to create
a world-first business success through determination, leadership, innovation
and hard work.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Steer and execute sales growth to 52,500
    devices, 4 Area Sales Managers, 34 Service Centers and 70,000 customers by
    end of 2015.
  • Oversee all marketing planning and
    execution including both below-the-line and above-the-line materials and
    campaigns.
  • Responsibility for management of country
    marketing and sales budget and KPIs.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The incumbent should hold a related field,
    such as business administration, telecommunications or marketing.
  • At least five to ten years of senior
    experience in a related commercial field: financial services, mobile-money
    or other commission based product in Uganda.
  • Proven ability to build and manage a
    network of field offices and regional representatives, with support
    functions, in a comparable industry.
  • Capacity to innovate, creating new
    processes and structures for distribution.
  • Ability to manage inventory and stock
    across multiple regions.
  • Ability to lead planning and execution for
    national BTL and ATL marketing.
  • Working knowledge of the local business
    environment, particularly in financial services, mobile money or telecoms
    industries.
  • Ability to build and manage relations at
    all levels i.e. within a fast growing startup company and with small
    retail entrepreneurs in rural areas.
  • English and Luganda fluency.
