Dairy Development Authority (DDA) is a
semi- autonomous agency under the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and
Fisheries (MAAIF). It is established under the Dairy Industry Act of 1998. Its
mission is “To provide dairy development and regulatory services that will
ensure increased production and consumption of milk, sustainable and profitable
dairy sector, contribute to economic development and improved nutritional
standards in Uganda”.

Job Summary: The Internal Auditor will render support by carrying
out an independent appraisal of the effectiveness of policies, procedures and
standards by which DDA’s financial, physical assets and information resources
are managed.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

In
charge of ensuring that financial and other transactions of the Authority are
in compliance with established policies, procedures, principles and plans.

Responsible
for auditing stocks and stocks movement of all commodities and supplies to
ensure compliance with authority policies.

that all records and ledger accounts are checked and certified.

Regularly
checking and verifying that all transactions are properly documented and have
adequate, accurate, reliable underlying evidence.

Conducting
regular field visits, surprise audits and spot checks in all areas of the
Authority as may be requested by head of Audit.

Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:

The
ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce/ Bachelor of
Science in Accounting and Finance or Business Administration majoring in
Accounting or other related fields.
