Job Summary: The Site
Services Engineer will be responsible for managing the contractors appointed to
maintain a high standard of hygiene, safety, security and integrity of the site
and associated buildings.

Responsibilities:

- The Engineer will manage building
maintenance contractors. - Manage site contractors, licenses and
permits. - Oversee site security.
- In charge of implementing the occupational
health, safety and environmental legislation in the work place. - Apply occupational health, safety and
environmental principles. - Oversee the application of the
Manufacturing Way principles and practices. - Manage Human Resources.
- Technically support the overall Technical
team initiatives and arrangements. - Assist the Plant Manager in leveraging
Prosper initiatives to stake holders. - Technically support and manage the overall
department budget and spend. - Perform any other duties assigned by the
Plant Manager.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
Experience:
- The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor
of Science degree in Civil Engineering or an appropriate degree - Working knowledge of local labor
legislation and experience in labor relations - Candidates with experience in FMCG are
preferred - Past exposure to NOSA, including SAMTRAC,
would be highly advantageous - Excellent track record of building
excellent relationships and credibility with relevant stakeholders based
on solid commercial understanding and an ability to identify customer
needs - Coaching – experience of coaching leaders
and managers essential - Communication – good written and numerical
skills, strong PC skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet) essential - Problem Solving – ability to identify the
root cause of issues and apply effective problem solving skills essential - The applicant must be a Self-starter; have
self- initiative, a Proactive mind-set, Efficient, Self-motivated,
organized and IT Literate - A bias for action and speed, and a track
record of delivering in a resourceful manner is essential - Possess the ability to enforce high levels
of integrity, discipline and team work.
