In-charge Litigation
Station: Kampala, Uganda

consultancy company which seeks to recruit on behalf of its valued Client, a
Legal Firm.
Duties and Responsibilities:
In charge of interviewing potential clients.
Conduct appropriate legal research.
Prepare necessary pleadings for clients’ clients and
in defense of clients’ cases.
Represent clients in Court or before any other
relevant tribunal.
Work closely with bailiffs during execution stages
Regularly review and advise on propriety of retained
client various agreements concerning their businesses.
In charge of preparing appropriate responses to
clients’ correspondences.
Maintain accurate, consistent and up to date
litigation chart for all files handled by the firm.
Secure proper custody of all litigation files.
Ensure sufficient client care before, during and
after executing instructions.
In charge of marketing of the firm to source for
potential clients.
Provide routine accountability for all funds
advanced on account of litigation.
Prepare end of month reports for clients on pending
litigation.
Perform any other duties may be assigned from time
to time.
An accurate and consistent record of litigation files
handled by the firm.
Up to date litigation chart
Achievement of turnaround time (TAT) for closing
files.
100% accountability for all funds advanced.
Experience:
The applicant should preferably be a qualified
advocate who holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Law from a recognized University.
Possession of a Post graduate Diploma in Legal practice
A minimum of three years in litigation in a
reputable Financial Institution/Law Firm
Computer literacy skills and working knowledge in MS
Word and Excel systems
Excellent command of both spoken and written English
language
Highest level of integrity & Positive attitude
on job.
Ability to work with no or minimal supervision

skills
