Job Summary: The Environmental
Officer will actively monitor, maintain and protect environmental standards
according to the required legislation at the factory.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:  
·        
The incumbent will manage the effluent plant
·        
Overseeing all aspects of pollution control, waste
management, recycling, environmental health, conservation and renewable energy
at the factory
·        
Implement and monitor all approved environmental
strategies, policies and programmes that promote sustainable development
·        
Develop and forward environmental policies &
procedures for management’s review and approval
·        
Keenly examine all manufacturing processes&
activities to ensure compliance with environmental legislation
·        
Carry out environmental audits and assessments
·        
Mentor and train staff at all levels in
environmental issues and responsibilities
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:  
·        
The ideal candidate should possess a Degree in an
Environmental Science/ Management or a related field.
·        
At least two years’ experience in a similar position
·        
Broad knowledge and understanding of environmental
legislation
·        
Excellent organizational and planning skills are
essential
·        
Good communication skills Customer centric
disposition
·        
Be a good team player
·        
Ability to think tactically and creatively
·        
Ability to prioritize work in the face of competing
demands
·        
Prior experience in First Aid would be an added
advantage
