Job Summary: The Assistant
Plant Engineer will support the Plant Engineer in ensuring the continuous
running of all factory machinery and equipment.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:  
·        
Work in liaison with the plant engineer on routine
inspection of Plant and Equipment and provide advice on requested services
while meeting safety codes, specifications and budgetary limitations.
·        
Assist in the installations of machinery and
equipment
·        
Implement routine machinery maintenance procedures and
schedules
·        
Co-ordinate and direct the staff members regarding
the activities that need to be performed in the absence of the plant manager
·        
Ensure that the work gets done as per the priority
within the framed budget by maintaining the quality standards and delivering
the products on the given deadline
·        
Carry out periodic inspection of all plant systems,
equipment and facilities
·        
Ensure safety corrective actions are implemented
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:  
·        
The ideal candidate should hold a Degree in
Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University/Institution
·        
Possession of a Postgraduate diploma in Maintenance
Management of Plant and Equipment is an added advantage.
·        
At least four years’ hands-on relevant experience in
Mechanical services and works in a manufacturing company
·        
Excellent organizational and communication skills
and ability to make quick decisions.
·        
Good team player in a diverse environment.
·        
Problem sensitivity and problem solving skills
·        
Work and activity scheduling skills
·        
Excellent coordinating and monitoring skills
·        
Should be ready to work beyond normal call of duty.
·        
Computer literacy skills
