Job Summary: The Health Services Coordinator will be tasked
with monitoring the adherence to quality assurance standards and the attainment
of all PACE health program objectives in line with the mission and strategic
objectives. S/he will spend 80% of their time in the field coaching Quality
Assurance Officer and providers for quality improvement.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Mentor and supervise utilization of tools for
monitoring the implementation of PACE health programs in the region on a
monthly basis in line with the set targets. - Appraise, coach and mentor the regional
quality assurance team and partners through on job training, in line with
staff development guidelines. - Establish and maintain a franchise network of
clinics in the region and monitor their compliance to the set standards
and targets including conducting quality checks and implementing
preventive and corrective actions - He /she will also plan, forecast, order and
account for the health commodities and IEC materials in the region monthly - Plan, review and provide program department
with monthly work plans, budgets and reports, and feedback based on field
experience - Carry out initial and quarterly quality
checks of relevant partners for PACE programs and build capacity of
partners including health related trainings in the region bi-annually - Build and strengthen linkages and
collaboration with district local governments in the region, relevant
implementing partners and stakeholders. - People Management: Mentor and supervise the Quality
Assurance Officers and Medical Detailer to ensure the team acquires an up
to date and in depth knowledge of MOH, PACE and donors’ standards and
procedures.
Key Performance Indicators:
- Achievement of set regional monthly targets
- Correct implementation of the PACE Quality
Improvement Plan - Achievement of MBOs for staff
- Competent and skilled staff in MOH, PACE and
donors’ standards and procedures. - No drop off of clinics from the franchise A
productive and competent franchisee of network clinics - Compliance to quality standards by franchise
network clinics in all health areas supported - Adequate stock out of health commodities and
IEC materials in the region - Work plans developed, implemented on schedule
and monitored - Timely project reports on program
implementation at the region - Visibility of PACE in the region.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate should preferably hold a Bachelor’s
degree in Medicine and surgery - Possession of any other post graduate
training in management is an added advantage - Hold a valid registration with relevant
medical regulatory body - At least three years’ experience in Health
services delivery in a clinical , or NGO setting - Broad technical expertise and functional
knowledge in RH, Maternal Health, Cervical cancer, HIV, Malaria and Child
Survival - Excellent interpersonal, teamwork and
networking skills. - Working knowledge of the Health service
standards. - Ability to translate strategic direction into
plans and objectives - Good leadership and supervisory skills
- Demonstrated marketing skills
- Proven ability to high standards for quality
of work and consistently achieves project targets - Computer literacy skills Microsoft Office
Suite and report writing - Customer focused with good interpersonal
skills to engage with people at all levels government, donor and community - Proven ability to travel 80% of the time
within and outside the region - Possession of a valid national driving permit
with demonstrated ability to drive is an added advantage
