Job Summary: The Partnership Building and Resource Mobilization
will lead, skill and inspire a THP-Uganda fundraising team. The position
entails finding new ways to drive financial growth and overcome challenges that
are common to advocacy, partnership building and fundraising in Uganda and
Africa. The incumbent should have a proven track record of identifying,
cultivating and soliciting organizations to appreciate the unique investment
opportunities offered by TH-Uganda. S/he will have an extensive network of relationships
that are relevant to this work and a broad knowledge in the world of
philanthropy and social entrepreneurship in Uganda, Africa and elsewhere.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Achieve growth in local fundraising to
implement programs of THP-Uganda. - Learn and understand THP-Uganda’s program
work so that it can be communicated passionately with ease and confidence. - Build and strengthen partnerships and funding
proposals in close collaboration with the Country Director, National
Program Staff, the Africa PBRMO and THP Global Office. - Provide support to selected National Advisory
Council (NAC) members in designing and carrying out their own successful
fundraising and partnership building efforts. - Create metrics and system to track and report
monthly and quarterly progress of activities and income. - Build strategic working partnerships in
Uganda that will strengthen the position of THP- Uganda to be a major player
in ending chronic hunger and poverty. - Work collaboratively with THP-Uganda and
ensure s/he is fully appraised of the team’s progress. - Ensuring that all Epicenters achieve
financial sustainability.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate for the Hunger Project Partnership
Building and Resource Mobilization Officer career opportunity should hold
a Master’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Communications,
Economics, Social Sciences, Public Administration, Development Studies,
International Relations, or any other relevant field. - At least ten years of professional work
experience with responsibilities in Fundraising. Significant experience in
fundraising with individual donors and understanding of corporate social
responsibility is an asset. - The job requires a seasoned, highly creative and
entrepreneurial development professional with stellar management skills - Excellent leadership, management and
teambuilding skills. - Identified active research follow up and
active relationships with representatives of. at least ten prospects. - The applicant should have won contracts for
at least 3 six-figure grants.
