Uganda National Oil Company Limited (UNOC) was established by Article 42 of the
Petroleum (Exploration, Development and Production) Act 2013 and incorporated
under the Company’s Act 2012. It is a fully registered limited liability
company wholly owned by Government of Uganda. The overall function of UNOC is;
To handle the State’s Commercial interests in the Oil and Gas industry and
ensure that the resource is exploited in a sustainable manner.

Job Summary: The Chief Development and Operations Manager will
act as the Head of the Department and responsible for planning, development,
production, marketing and sales of petroleum and business development.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Actively participate in the preparation and
implementation of strategic business plans and goals for the company; - Identify, assess, analyse and recommend oil
and gas investment opportunities. - Keenly analyse daily production of petroleum
and give forecasts from different fields of operation; - Actively participate in negotiating
agreements relating to production, development, supply and sale of oil and
gas; - Ensure that the Company maintains high
standards of corporate citizenship and social responsibility wherever it
does business.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate should preferably hold a
Master’s Degree in Petroleum Engineering, or Petroleum Production
Engineering, Petroleum Geosciences - Possession of
a Master’s Degree in Business Administration or equivalent from a
recognized University would be an added .advantage. - At least ten years’ experience gained in
process and facilities engineering and business management, five years of
which in a senior position - Proven knowledge of international design
codes and standards is required. - Proven ability to prepare design,
procurement, construction, (pre) commissioning, start-up and hand-over
specification packages.
