Job Summary: The Finance and Administration Manager will be
hands-on and pivotal in leading and developing a team to support the company in
finance, business planning, budgeting, administration and IT.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership on all financial issues
including reporting, cash flow, forecasting, mentoring, supervision and
appraisal of the finance team - The incumbent will develop and implement all
necessary business policies, accounting practices and controls; improve
the finance department’s overall effectiveness. - Coordinate and lead the annual audit process,
liaise with external auditors and the finance committee of the board of
directors; assess any necessary changes. - Effectively communicate and present the
critical financial matters to the board of directors. - Updates and maintains the Sage Pastel Evolution
ERP system and train on all Sage usage.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant should hold a B.A., ideally
with a recognized professional accounting/ finance qualification such as
CPA/ ACCA. - Working knowledge accounting and reporting
software and applications of International Financial Reporting Standards
(IFRS), International Accounting standards (IAS’s), and International
Standards on Auditing (ISA’s). - A minimum of seven to ten years of overall
professional experience; ideally 6+ years of broad financial and
operations management experience. - The ideal candidate should have experience of
final responsibility for the quality and content of all financial data,
reporting and audit coordination for either a division or significant
program area, and has preferably had operation experience with general
business administration processes (ideally incl. human resources). - Excellent track record in setting priorities;
keen, analytical, organization and problem solving skills which support
and enable sound decision making. - Computer literacy skills including
Proficiency in using Sage Pastel Evolution - Excellent communication and relationship
building skills with an ability to prioritize, negotiate, and work with a
variety of internal and external stakeholders. - Willingness to relocate to a remote area –
Uganda
