Key Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Management and

- The jobholder will create a user-friendly
Human Resource Infrastructure through systems and schedules on all staff
requirements. - Significantly contribute to Policy
formulation and pursue regular reviews to improve service delivery for the
department. - Keenly review the organizations policy manual
in relation to the employment law and make needed recommendations for
review where necessary. - Plan the HR Functions for the year, covering
comprehensive systems for recruitment, staff surveys, performance
appraisals, training needs analyses and programmes, salary reviews and
social activities.
2. Operations and

- Seek approvals for the HR functions for the
year; communicate them to superiors and all staff using a Staff Handbook
or Policy Manual. - Ensure legal frameworks are utilized when
delivering manuals or handbooks to staff. - The jobholder will schedule the recruitment
process for Management or Recruiting firms. - Ensure that the working conditions of the
organization meet International and acceptable standards. - Provide a working framework for effective
administrative needs and systems for the organization. - The incumbent will manage staff learning and
turnover. - Oversee the orientation process for new staff
and exit process for exiting staff - The jobholder will also manage staff crucial
issues including equal opportunities, workman’s compensation laws or
worker pay rights, salary reviews, disciplinary issues, negotiations for
statutory requirements on behalf of the organization, gender disparities
and staff welfare. - Ensure adherence to government regulations
and apply duty of care to the organization in staff management. - Observe trends in the labour market against
internal surveys, provide workable recommendations to management for
effective and timely planning and policy adjustments on all issues. - Create an effective client service team and
train and manage the HR function staff. - Plan effective social activities in line with
the organizational goals and objectives - Provide in-house and outsourced psychosocial
support to staff and their relations using the work-life balance approach. - Effectively schedule leave for all staff and
ensure proper delegation meets the organizations goals and objectives.
3. Additional Duties:
- Responsible for the maintenance of all assets
entrusted with, and may be charged for negligence. You will always submit
a Quarterly Report of the same to your supervisor. - Observe and conform to all regulations and
norms that affect the working environment of Non-Governmental
Organizations. - Perform any other assignments related to the
Employer’s objectives as may be directed by the Executive Director.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant should preferably hold an MBA –
Human Resource Management and any other related courses - A minimum of three years’ experience as Human
Resource Manager in reputable NGOs - Demonstrate high levels of integrity in their
work ethic and conduct - Exhibit a professional level of respect for
superiors, subordinates and all staff - Possess high levels of Confidentiality
- Ability to perform duties with transparency
- Just in his/her dealings
- Orderliness and a great time keeper
- Proven ability to model high work ethic
- Demonstrated ability to model time keeping
and be an exemplary team leader - Ability to foster team work
- Positively influence and lead others
