that implements Development Communication programs aimed at influencing
positive behavior change for the social development of men, women and children
in Uganda and the entire East African Region.
About USAID Project:
Communication
for Development Foundation Uganda (CDFU) is a partner in the USAID Uganda
Voucher Plus Activity. The goal of USAID is to expand access to and the quality
of health services for pregnant women, including maternal mid child care,
facility- based delivery and postpartum family planning, through the private
sector. The project will operate in 23 districts in Northern and Eastern
Uganda.
Job Summary: The Project Officers (BCC) – Community
Mobilisation will offer technical support in BCC program activities including
community mobilization, coordinate selection and training of community
volunteers; monitor sale of vouchers and access to services; coordinate and
report all BCC activities of the project.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The applicants for these jobs should
    preferably hold Bachelor’s degrees in Communication, Health, Social Sciences,
    Population or related field.
  • A minimum of three years’ experience in implementing
    behavior change communication (BCC) interventions.
  • Previous exposure and experience working with
    districts, non-governmental and community based organizations as well as
    government departments.
  • Previous experience working at the community
    level to implement BCC interventions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication
    skills
  • Good team player.
  • Good presentation and writing skills.
  • Computer literacy skills i.e. proficiency in Microsoft
    Word, Excel and Power Point.
  • Familiarity with the Reproductive Health
    issues is an added advantage
  • Fluency in Luo, Ateso or Lusoga.
