Job Summary: The Management Accountant will be responsible for
the management of the Financial Planning & Reporting function, including
both internal and external financial and non-financial reporting. The incumbent
will be expected to build and maintain an effective control environment around
the financial reporting and data sourcing processes.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Plan and manage the Chart of Accounts
    (“COA”)
  • In charge of the production of Financial
    Statements
  • Responsible for the production of Monthly
    Management Accounts
  • In charge of the production of reports for
    Group consolidation
  • Production of Flash, segment, business unit,
    product profitability, shop and other reports as needed to manage the
    business
  • Management of the collection of the data
    required to produce reports through the data warehouse or other effective
    manner
  • Manage all company planning cycles, Strategic
    Plans, Budgets, 5 Year Plans, Quarterly Forecasts, Bank business plans to
    support funding/borrowing
  • Prepare business plans to support products,
    expansions, campaigns
  • Identify all reporting gaps in the financial
    and non-financial information currently being reported to internally and
    externally.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The ideal candidate for the Vodafone Management
    Accountant career opportunity should hold a Bachelor’s degree (from 4 year
    College or University) in Financial studies/ Accounting or Applied
    Economics
  • At least six years working relevant scaled
    experience in an operational/reporting role with responsibility for
    quantitative and qualitative analytics
  • Membership to an accounting professional body
    will be a distinct advantage
  • Good leadership, coordination and management skills.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and
    multi-tasking
  • Must speak English
  • Planning, organising, co-ordinating &
    people skills
  • Flexibility, able to work long hours
  • Financial System and Reporting System
    (experience in SAP will be an advantage)
  • Computer skills – Microsoft projects, word,
    excel, PowerPoint, e-mail, internet
