Job Summary: The Human Resource Graduate Intern will work closely
with the Human Resource team to support the department achieve the Country’s
CSP goals.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Render support in the training function to
coordinate workshops/trainings and respective training requirements - Records Management – to include; filing of respective
HR and personnel documents, - Offer support the recruitment function in
coordinating interview processes - Provide support in the recruitment function
in coordinating and managing staff orientation programme/schedule within
the for first 2 days of reporting - Work closely with the HR Coordinator
Recruitment to ensure timely issuance of identity cards to all Plan Uganda
staff and follow up on payment of the service provider in line with the
organizational policies - Process work permits and dependent passes for
expatriate staff and their dependents respectively and ensure timely
renewal - Render support in the development and
maintenance of a database of organizations that offer professional
development - Staff Welfare – announcing and coordinating the
support required for staff during new births, loss of loved ones, and
farewell parties if need arises - Responsible for taking minutes during
departmental meetings - Handle verification exercises for academic
documents of all Plan staff whenever required in line with Plan’s
policies. - Actively participate in periodical reviews of
HR policies and strategies and employee opinion surveys and make
recommendations for the better running of the department - Responsible for the distribution,
coordination and follow-up of in-coming and out-going mail.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate must have attained a Bachelor’s
degree in Human Resource Management in the last 18 months - No working experience is required for the

time on the program for the entire year. - The graduates should demonstrated good
character, creativity, honesty, positive attitude, ability to learn. - Graduates who were sponsored by Plan or have
experienced the impact of Plan’s community development programs in their

Panel. - High level of Confidentiality and Integrity
- Flexibility to work across other HR functions
- Demonstrated ability to produce results
within deadlines and work under pressure - Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to
establish credibility quickly - Ability to build and maintain effective
working relationships across all levels - Excellent communication (oral and written)
skills in English - Computer literacy skills i.e. working knowledge
and ability to use MS Office tools
