Job Summary: The Project Manager will manage the planning,
implementation, and coordination of multi-sectoral GBV Program/Project
interventions and capacity building to prevent, and respond to Stigma against
Rape Survivors and Children Born of Rape in Armed Conflict in compliance with
GBV guiding principles.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead in Project Planning
& Implementation:

- Work in liaison with the Program Manager, and
Technical Specialist to understand the project goal and implement
multi-sectorial SGBV prevention and response interventions (includes
health, psychosocial support, case management, legal, and security) guided
by GBV guiding principles. - Ensure work plans for implementation are made
and expectations met. - Work closely with the local government and
other partners in regard to project implementation and opportunities,
leveraging their resources against WV’s to improve sustainability - Actively contribute to ongoing assessments
and analyses to better understand protection risks, map points of service
for survivors of and vulnerable individuals, and to identify and link them
to support structures - Keenly analyze trends and develop/align
program strategies to meet needs - Ensure maximum integration and synergies of
the grant with APs interventions
Effective Project

- Through implementation, monitoring and
evaluation and incorporating GBV survivor-centered approaches by adopting
a community owned and centered approach for sustainability; - Identify and reinforce existing support
mechanisms and work closely with local counterparts to ensure community
buy-in and cultural appropriateness of activities - Develop community champions to drive systemic
behavioral change amongst communities and service providers - Work closely with teams and communities to
develop appropriate prevention and awareness-raising/behavior change
strategies - Strengthen case management and referral
mechanisms working with leaders, youth and service providers - Organize and support trainings for healthcare
providers/volunteers, as needed and appropriate - Contribute to information-sharing and data
management systems - Compile monthly and quarterly reports, on
time and with accurate data - Maintain flexibility to take on added
responsibility as and when needed
Capacity Building:
- Effectively supervise and build capacity of
project personnel (staff, volunteers and others) to effectively implement
project interventions to expected standards. - Identify the knowledge, attitudes, skills,
and behaviors required for personnel to implement project interventions; - Train staff and partners to become leaders of
SGBV prevention and response. - Promote and builds capacity of GBV guiding
principles within teams, including compliance with confidentiality and
data security protocols; - Facilitates trainings to build personnel’s
capacity as required; - Mentors team members through on-the-job
training, guidance and support;
Advocacy and Community
Mobilization:
Mobilization:
- Action for GBV prevention and response and in
support of survivors to end stigmatization linked to sexual violence. - Undertake initiatives that offer
unprecedented opportunities for advancing GBV interventions through
advocacy - Lead teams to effectively engage communities
to prevent and respond to sexual violence using thoughtful approaches that
promote inclusive participation, non-discrimination and
underrepresentation in community and family decision-making. - Ensure children and youth participate in
advocacy and action - As needed for difficult or complex cases,
provide direct advocacy and assistance.
Networking and
Coordination:
Coordination:
- Facilitate a collaborative environment to
promote effective coordination with a range of actors to ensure that
survivors have access to multi-sectorial services and to facilitate
mainstreaming of risk mitigation and prevention efforts. - Coordinate with local and international NGOs,
UN agencies and other stakeholders to ensure holistic support for
survivors, including participation in strengthening SOPs and referral
pathways - Actively participate in protection/GBV
working groups and contribute to interagency initiatives - Contribute to the positive image and overall
credibility of the organization, notably through the application of the
organization’s Code of Conduct and ensure maximum visibility - Assist in writing program proposals and
meeting with donors on project-related engagements/visits - Fosters effective communication internally
and externally. - Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting on
project indicators and results; continuous effort is required through
ongoing monitoring, evaluation and review to ensure project resources are
put to intended use. - Carry out regular monitoring and review of
the project progress towards impact - Ensure bottom-up development approach,
project beneficiaries are part of the M&E process using a community based
monitoring and evaluation approach - Conduct quarterly, bi-annual and annual
monitoring in-line with the project M&E framework/plan and disseminate
findings and recommendations - Document and disseminate project learning and
best practices - Conduct end of project evaluation to assess
impact and share findings with beneficiaries and partners including the
donor. - Provide timely and accurate monthly,
semi/annual reports and other reports as needed or requested.
People Management:
- Assist in the selection, training and support
of program/project staff - Ensure annual appraisal of line managed staff
against responsibilities and key performance Indicators are conducted
appropriately. - Promote principles of self-care for staff and
provide opportunities for teams to seek support; - Comply with security protocols, consider
security implications of all project activities and fosters a safe
environment for staff to report security concerns.
Financial/Budget
Management:

- Take overall responsibility for financial
management and monitoring of the project, ensuring that adequate financial
and administrative systems are in place. - Maintain staff & stakeholder awareness of
budget and expenditures in order to manage project within - Develop work plans and expenditure targets in
line with project budget - Work with Finance and Logistics to plan and
procure supplies within project budgets and expected time frames - Effective management of the project budget
within acceptable minimum variance and in compliance with donor
regulations/requirements
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The prospective World Vision Project Manager employee
should hold a University degree in Social Work, Social Sciences, Public
Health, or other relevant field of study. A master’s degree is an added
advantage - Post graduate training in Project Planning
and Management sound knowledge of Financial Management - A minimum of three years’ experience in SGBV
programming, including at least one year of humanitarian experience and
advocacy work - Proven knowledge and experience in developing
and implementing community mobilization projects - Relevant regional experience strongly
preferred - Familiarity with standards and guidelines for
GBV programming and coordination as well as guidance on Protection from
Sexual Exploitation and Abuse - Proven ability to exercise sound judgment, to
remain flexible to a changing environment, and to make decisions
independently - Strong communication skills, both oral and
written - Computer literacy skills
- Attend and participate/lead in daily
devotions and weekly Chapel services. - Perform other duties as required.
