organization which was founded in 1986 by Ugandan mothers committed to
providing relief aid to needy children left parentless by the civil turbulence
of the mid-1980’s and the HIV/AIDS pandemic.

About PROFIRA Project:
UWESO
in partnership with Care International in Uganda and Government of Uganda plan
to reach out to 62,500 vulnerable households in 22 districts in Eastern Region
(i.e. Teso and Bugisu Sub Regions) through Livelihoods pathway over a three
year period (2016-2019). Creation of Community Savings and Credit Groups
(CSCGs), Business Skills Training and Financial Literacy Education are key
interventions of Project for Financial Inclusion in Rural Areas (PROFIRA) with
funding from IFAD/GOU.

Job Summary: The Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant /Data
Clerk will be responsible for the maintenance of project data systems, the
accurate and timely entry of project-related data, the production of reports,
conducting field monitoring visits and leading the project team to fulfill
general M&E function.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the field coordinator and
VLSA officers to design and disseminate PROFIRA M&E framework - The incumbent will organize, clean data and
store data collected from the field - Maintain the PROFIRA Management Information
System (MIS) database at the region - Carry out periodic monitoring of project
activities, outputs and outcomes including data collection on a timely
basis and in accordance with Monitoring and Evaluation plans - Conduct data analysis against project
targets, Produce standard reports to track project, agent and group
performance and sharing with the project team - Prepare and submit any other reports as may
be required in the project to ensure that all processes and project
outcome/results are documented - Support partners in action research,
documentation and dissemination of project experiences in user friendly
forms - Support the project team in documenting and
reporting success stories - Offer technical input towards the project
implementation to ensure the project activities address the set objectives - Perform any other roles that may be assigned
from time to time
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicants for the PROFIRA Project Monitoring
and Evaluation Assistant /Data Clerk career jobs must hold at least a diploma
in Statistics, Economics, Social sciences or any other related field - Additional training in M&E is desirable
- A minimum of two years’ experience and
practical knowledge in M&E position or Data Management - Previous experience in CSCG methodology is
added advantage - Previous experience with data entry
- Previous experience working in a development
project environment - Excellent skills in computer packages such as
excel and other databases - Knowledge of savings/CSCG group programming
helpful
