The National Organization of Peer Educators (NOPE) Uganda is an
affiliate of National Organization of Peer Educators which is a regional
Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) with its headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya.
NOPE Uganda was registered on 2nd August 2013 and currently implements public
health and social development programs among Inadequately Served Populations
(ISPs) including Young Persons Living with HIV (YPLHIV), Youth in Schools
(Including Primary Schools, Colleges and Universities), Youth Out of School,
vulnerable populations including young women and girls (10-24 years), truckers
and sex workers.

Key Duties and
Responsibilities:

The Program Associate will in charge of
implementing, Monitoring and reporting on the assigned projects

Responsible for mobilizing the various stakeholders
necessary for implementing the projects

Offering support to other staff to ensure that
the reports from the projects are complete and of good quality as stipulated in
the documents of engagement with the partners

In charge of compiling and submitting Monthly
and quarterly reports on aspects and progress of projects

Taking reasonable care of the resources, tools
and equipment used for the project and assigned to him/her to prevent misuse,
damage or loss

Making relevant trips in the field to ensure
satisfaction of the beneficiary community and provide timely feedback on the
project being implemented

Providing supportive supervision and mentorship
to the interns and community volunteers assigned to him/her within the NOPE

Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
Experience:

The ideal candidate should be a holder of
Bachelor’s Degree in Community Development, Social Studies or Community Health
Psychology or other relevant discipline from a recognized institution of higher
learning, minimum Diploma level.

Post Graduate Diploma in Participatory Rural
/Urban Appraisal (PRA/PUA) will be an added advantage.

Attained training in Adolescent Life Skills,
Behavior Change Communication (BCC) and / or other HIV related Trainings e.g.
Peer Education, Peer Counseling, Youth Development Studies or Community Health

At least four years working experience in Youth

Significant exposure and experience in project

vulnerable populations

with ability to create good rapport with young, vulnerable women in a
