Programme Manager International NGO Jobs – STIR Education
Job Title: Programme Manager
Organisation: STIR Education
Duty Station: Kampala,
Uganda
Uganda
About Us:
STIR Education is an International NGO headquartered in London and
currently operating in India and Uganda. At STIR Education, we strongly encourage
self-learning, taking ownership of your workload, and supporting the
organisation in a holistic way – in order to collaborate with us to grow the
STIR dream and the Teacher Changemaker movement. We see teachers as the
solution, not the problem, in addressing the global learning crisis that
affects 250 million children in developing countries today. We motivate and
network teachers so they can improve their own professional practice as well as
influence their peers and the wider system. The networks are deeply embedded
into education systems, both government and private. The core model
underpinning the STIR strategy is a journey that gives teachers the opportunity
to collaborate with peers in local networks and gain exposure to evidence based
practices – motivating teachers to develop the professional mindsets and
behaviours to improve student learning. There is a strong focus around impact
measurement; and in aligning with government and other large-scale systems.
