About NRC:
The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is a non-governmental, humanitarian
organization with 60 years of experience in helping to create a safer and more
dignified life for refugees and internally displaced people. NRC advocates for
the rights of displaced populations and offers assistance within the shelter,
education, emergency food security, legal assistance, and water, sanitation and
hygiene sectors.
Job Summary: The Security
Officer will conduct security assessments and provide security updates in line
with the NRC security guidelines
Key Duties and
Responsibilities: 
·        
In charge of the development and implementation
of the NRC Security Management System at area level
·        
Carry out Security Risk Analysis (SRA) according
to minimum operational requirements (MOSS)
·        
Minimize security risks to the operations of NRC
·        
Prepare and submit reports as required
·        
Communicate and cooperate with relevant external
security actors
·        
Performing both regular and random patrols of
multiple premises
·        
Reporting any security-related incidents,
hazards or unusual occurrences
·        
Operating emergency equipment
·        
Documenting operations and filing weekly reports
·        
In charge of investigating breaches of policies
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
·        
The applicant for the Norwegian Refugee Council
(NRC) Security Officer job opportunity should hold a Bachelor’s Degree and
Minimum Certificate II in Security Operation
·        
Current first aid certificate
·        
Previous experience in NGO security Management
·        
At least five years’ experience in managing
security in the NGO sector
·        
Proven high level communication, both in writing
and oral in English
·        
Full knowledge of the local context
·        
Excellent customer service and conflict
resolution skills
·        
Excellent communication skills
·        
Professional presentation
·        
Ability to work as a team member and solo
·        
Willingness and ability to work to a flexible
roster
·
