Job Summary: The Internal
Auditor will monitor and evaluate
how well risks are being managed and how well internal processes are working

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- The incumbent will evaluate reasonable
assurance that risk management, control and governance systems are
functioning as intended and will enable the organization’s objectives and
goals to be met - Report risk management issues and internal
controls deficiencies and provide recommendations for improving. - Discusses findings with CEO, makes
appropriate/necessary adjustments and amendments, and prepares final
report for CEO review and presentation to management and the Board. - Undertake scheduled operational and/or
financial audits as assigned, and produce reports with findings and
recommendations - Evaluate regulatory compliances with
regulatory bodies such as filling returns with URA, PAYE - Manage stock taking
- Carry out spot checks at Main Cashiers
Office and other cash receiving locations to check cash in hand against
receipts/invoices/registers. - Conduct a periodic sample check at various
receiving areas to ensure that materials and supplies, received are in
accordance with purchase orders, required quality and specifications. - Undertakes quality management audits of
compliance to CoRSU management systems, protocols, procedures and record
keeping - Significantly contribute to the
development of quality management system. - Perform any other related duties as
assigned by CEO
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
Experience:
- The ideal candidate should hold a
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce (Accounting option)
- Professional qualification i.e. at least
level 2 of ACCA/CPA qualification - At least three years’ experience in audit
(internal or external) practices. - Knowledge of the Standards for the
Professional Practice of Auditing and accounting - Good computer knowledge and skills
- Excellent communication, presentation and
social skills. - Previous experience in working in the
NGO/Not-for-Profit sector
