Job Summary: The Monitoring
and Evaluation Fellow will support the ambitious M&E Team at Educate! in
its efforts to inform program design and implementation. The position offers a
unique opportunity to conduct hands-on program monitoring and evaluation for a
dedicated non-profit youth organization in Uganda. The M&E Fellowship with
Educate! allows the candidate to engage in active research in Uganda that
affects implementation immediately. Every M&E Fellow works hard and leaves
a meaningful legacy at Educate!.

Key Duties and
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
Develop the Soft and Hard Skills Assessment for Secondary School Youth:
- The incumbent will develop Concept Note
and plan Skills Assessment Tool development following the human-centered
design approach involving teachers and other community stakeholders - Present the Concept Note to senior
management for approval - Pitch the Concept Note to Educate! staff,
trainers & teachers
Develop & Pilot the Skills Assessment Tool:
- Carry out quantitative and qualitative
research to inform tool development - Use the findings from research to develop
a prototype - Present the prototype to Headteachers and
teachers for feedback - Develop
piloting plan for the prototype with teachers in secondary schools - Coordinate and manage the piloting process
in schools for 2 rounds of piloting - Analyze the feedback and incorporate
changes - Develop final Skills Assessment tool for
teachers and present it to the Educate! Team & Teachers
Data Analysis:
- Take the lead in designing and developing
Skills Assessment tools - Conduct data collection to test tool
prototypes - Supervise both quantitative and
qualitative data entry - Lead the statistical analysis to validate
skills assessment tools
Training & Management:
- Lead the training process for the Skills
Assessment Tool for the Educate! Team and teachers - Develop the training structure and plan
for Educate! staff and teachers. - Conduct the training for the Skills

Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
Experience:
- The ideal candidate should hold a Degree
or Msc. in Research related
subjects, Monitoring & Evaluation - One to two years’ experience in research
skills, tool development, data analysis both quantitative and qualitative
analysis. - High proficiency in STATA, SPSS or
