Job Summary: The Home Loans
Manager will provide leadership for the Home Loans team, which is responsible
for developing strategies on how to build and grow the best home loan solutions
in the industry while still being profitable and meeting the ROE hurdle rate
budget on a yearly basis.

- The jobholder will partner with the
Segment Heads, Distribution Head, Head Credit, and Operations to derive
and drive the home loan strategy for Uganda with support from the Head of
lending PBB (Uganda) - Be constantly aware of opportunities for
new business and to follow up business which might be lost to other bank
e.g. request for references, request for settlements - Formulates, allocates and communicates
home loan value propositions and strategies to the whole of Personal
Banking. - Set the pricing of home loan products
using profitability models to optimize profitability of the home loan
products. - The incumbent manages the whole PB home
loan book to maximize revenues and profitability in line with PBB
objectives - Set the home loan budget for the year
covering Balance Sheet Growth, NII, NIR, Expenses, CLR. - Ensure quality and accuracy of credit
reports, verifications, pricing and obtain all supporting documents i.e.
identification documents, license, pay slip and financial statements from
the customer through the segment relationship managers. - Effectively delegates authority and
responsibility, in line with business objectives, to ensure the
empowerment, motivation and effectiveness of all direct and indirect
reports.

Experience:

- The applicant for the Stanbic Bank Home
Loans Manager job placement should hold a first Degree in business
administration, economics or marketing from a recognized university - Possession of a Master’s Degree or other
qualifications, certifications or professional memberships is an added
advantage - Advanced Microsoft skills, a qualification
in new business development and business Intelligence will be an advantage - At least seven to ten years with extensive
knowledge and expertise in sales and service for home loan products within
the financial services industry. - Sound experience and knowledge in Credit
and Compliance matters. Experience in people management and exposure to
Strategic Management. - In depth knowledge of home loans service
delivery benchmarks and standards. - Broad knowledge and understanding of the
Code of Banking practise and how it applies to sales and service. - Thorough knowledge and understanding of
the credit processes and lending criteria. - Sound knowledge of insurance / assurance
requirements. - Qualifications and experience as
determined by the “Fit and Proper Requirements” of the Financial Advisory
and Intermediary Services Act.
