organization committed to providing life-saving disaster relief and long term
support. For over a decade, our teams of professional medics, search &
rescue squads, post-trauma experts and community mobilizers, have been first on
the front lines of nearly every major humanitarian response in the 21st
century. Our mission is to efficiently support and meet the changing needs of
populations as they strive to move from crisis to reconstruction/rehabilitation,
and eventually, to sustainable living.
Job Summary: The Program
Officer will run, administer and organize all project activities for IsraAID.
Key Duties and
Responsibilities:   
  • Coordinating activities and resources,
    including equipment and information management
  • Work closely with direct and indirect
    beneficiaries to identify and define project requirements, scope and
    objectives
  • Assuring the beneficiaries’ needs are met
    as the project evolves
  • Prepare project proposals, time-frames,
    schedules and budgets
  • In charge of monitoring and evaluation of
    project implementation
  • Act as the regional focal person and
    communicate project status adequately to all actors involved
  • Assuring accountability
  • Administrative assistance
  • Flexibility and preparedness to travel
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project
    documentation, plans and reports
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:  
  • The ideal candidate must hold a B.A and
    experience in protection (SGBV, MH/PSS, CP), social work or counseling
  • Familiarity with schools in refugee
    settlements is a great advantage, and so is familiarity with aid dynamics
    in an emergency setting.
  • Previous experience in project management,
    social work and community development.
  • Excellent written and oral communication
    skills
  • Solid organizational skills and
    multitasking abilities
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft
    Office
  • Experience in working with NGOs
  • Familiarity with languages of West-Nile is
    an advantage
