Job Summary: The Senior
Manager Procurement & Logistics will ensure compliance and value for money
through the effective procurement of goods and services, and effective
distribution of those products across all MSI Uganda’s service delivery
channels and operations nationwide. In managing this key area of organizational
risk, s/he is will develop and ensure full compliance with effective policies,
strategies and systems that deliver cost effective, donor compliant, high
quality, timely delivery of all procurement and logistics for MSI Uganda. S/he
is the key representative of MSI Uganda with external service and product
suppliers.

charge of monitoring and reporting on progress to Director of Corporate

the preferred supplier procurement process

compliance with all asset management requirements (including accurate
record keeping and branding) - Documentation
and accurate accounting of a contraceptive and medical consumable
stock movement.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
Experience:
- The
ideal candidate should preferably hold a Master’s Degree or equivalent in
a relevant discipline is desirable (Procurement & Logistics
Management, Business management, Commerce, General Management, Accounting) - Knowledge
in supply chain management is an added advantage. - More
than one Ugandan language desirable - Proven
experience in similar position in Procurement & Logistics
management related activities in NGO /or commercial setting - Broad
knowledge and experience of a range of procurement activities, including
but not limited to: national and international procurement; warehouse
management; pharmacy management. - Excellent
knowledge of risk management in the area of procurement and logistics - Proven
ability to manage and lead high-performing teams through encouraging
innovation and creativity - Strong
and proven skills in the management of teams to clear performance
targets - Excellent
planning and reporting skills - Strategic
analysis and the ability to translate ideas into workable practice - Excellent communications skills to ensure uptake by others of the
management of risk - Excellent
IT skills to realise efficiencies and use data for analytical purposes - Excellent
interpersonal skills, the ability to build effective working relationships
at all levels - Excellent
oral and written communication skills - Proven
ability to plan, prioritise and organise self and others - Ability
to work autonomously - Ability
to work under pressure and to deadlines
