About US:
The Uganda Nurses
and Midwives Council is a semi-autonomous Health Professional Regulatory and
supervisory body under Ministry of Health; established by the Nurses and
Midwives Act, 1996 to regulate and supervise the provision of quality nursing
and midwifery services to the public. Its mandate is to set and regulate
standards of nursing and midwifery training and practice and provide
professional guidance for public safety.
Job Summary: The Finance, Planning and Administration
Manager will maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting and financial records
in compliance with regulatory requirements and coordinate a responsive and
efficient administration function
Key Duties and
Responsibilities:
·
Developing,
planning and implementing goals and objectives for the Finance, Planning and
Administration department, administering internal policies and procedures
relating to departmental programmes;
·
Directing,
overseeing and participating in the departmental program work plan;
·
Preparing
budget and quarterly reports
·
Serving
as the signatory to the Council Bank Accounts
·
Managing
the preparation and maintenance of financial reports
·
Coordinating
departmental processes
·
Advising
Registrar on administrative matters
·
Coordinating
staff recruitment, development and employee performance evaluation
·
Supervising
administrative staff of the Council
·
Monitoring
employee relations within the department
·
Perform
any other duties as may be assigned from time to time
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
·
The
applicant must hold an Honors Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce (Accounting
option), BBA (Accounting option) or Accounting and Finance
·
A
Masters of Business Administration or Masters Degree in Public Administration
·
Full
professional qualification in ICPAU
·
Must
have relevant experience of at least 3 years in a similar post
·
