mortgage lending. National Housing & Construction Corporation, a parastatal

Job Summary: The Manager
Compliance and Reporting will coordinate the
implementation of credit risk management policies and procedures through
regular compliance checks and training to staff involved in the Bank’s credit
process; provide accurate reporting using appropriate key performance
indicators to all stakeholders in order for well informed decisions to be made.

Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
- Carry out regular credit process
compliance checks of the credit department, business units, and branches;
make recommendations for change. - Provide compliance and training support to
credit originating officers in the use, interpretation and implementation
of credit procedures and policies - The incumbent will also enforce the
implementation of corrective measures noted in the compliance, risk and
audit reports as per the credit policies and procedures. - Assess the appropriateness of internal
credit policies, procedures and guidelines and make recommendations for
amendments, where necessary - Ensure compliance to the Regulatory
reporting requirements. - Coordinate credit compliance activities
with those of risk management and compliance functions - Develop and implement appropriate internal
reporting systems with respect to the content, format and frequency of
information concerning the credit portfolio to permit effective credit
analysis - Prepare and submit internal reports that
highlight insights into default trends, concentrations, correlations and
performance monitoring statistics to guide decision making.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
Experience:
- The ideal candidate for the Housing
Finance Bank Manager Compliance and Reporting career opportunity must hold
a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law or related field from a recognized
University. - Possession of a diploma in Legal Practice
from the Law Development Centre is an added advantage. - A minimum of three years’ experience in
compliance, credit risk management, bank securities and legal
documentation. - Other competencies, include Relationship
management, Credit risk analysis, - Broad knowledge and understanding of Laws
and regulations relating to Financial Institutions
