Job Summary: The Finacle
Specialist will provide second level application support for the Finacle Core
Banking system. Be part of a team of second Level Applications Support
resources to ensure delivery of quality application support within the
designated service portfolio. The jobholder will manage resource allocation and
coordinate with IT Project Managers for development, enhancement and
maintenance of the core banking system. The incumbent will maintain a high
level of morale and collaboration in an environment of aggressive growth and
change. Also, the jobholder will maintain relationships with key vendors as
well as Subscribe and Support the DFCU Core Banking transformation process.

Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
- Build
a long term relationship with IT Service customers (business), both
internal and external. - Provide
solutions to core banking support issues raised to the Business Technology
support team. - The
incumbent will also ensure full compliance to the Bank’s policies and
procedures. - The
jobholder will identify opportunities and drive continuous enhancements to
the Core banking system. - Provide
insight and advice to help the internal business to plan for changes to
the Core Banking System. - Effectively
apply appropriate blend of banking/lending content expertise, technology
acumen and project/program management discipline to participate in the
planning, analysis, testing, design and implementation of Core Banking
System changes. - Actively
participate in various aspects of the Core Banking system management like
configuration, testing, deployment & production support. - Portfolio
reporting (quality, delivery, performance, and application value)
to the Manager Applications Support & Services, dfcu Bank - Offer
technical guidance and assess requirements for additional services and
promote the use of IT services, where appropriate. - Provide
ongoing support to project initiatives - Interact
with 1st, 2nd and 3rd Level support to ensure overall IT customer targets
are met

Experience:
Experience:
- The applicant for the DFCU Finacle
Specialist career opportunity must hold a Bachelor’s Tertiary qualification in Computer
Science, Information Technology/Systems or related field. - Professional
certification/Active Membership of a professional organisation - Possession
of a Postgraduate qualification would be an added advantage - A
minimum of five years’ working experience of the Finacle Core Banking
system - At
least five years’ experience in any of the following areas: Technical
support, Systems Administration, Applications support, Finacle Core
Banking support, Oracle SQL, IBM AIX UNIX. - Excellent
problem solving skills - Must
have technical competence with deep knowledge of the Finacle Core banking
system architecture. - Banking/financial
industry experience would be an added advantage.
