Mildmay Uganda is a faith- based local Non-Governmental Organisation
(NGO) offering Comprehensive HIV Care & treatment, Training, Research &
General Medical Services; also providing Health Systems Strengthening to scale
up comprehensive HIV/AIDS Services in 16 districts of Central Uganda.
Job Summary: The Community
Systems Strengthening Coordinator will coordinate implementation of the PEPFAR
community strategy and ensure that facility and community based interventions
are synchronized for effective project outcomes. The incumbent will also  provide oversight for Differentiated Service
Delivery Model, gender mainstreaming and work closely with CBOs and PLHIV
networks.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience: 
  • The ideal candidate for the Mildmay
    Community Systems Strengthening Coordinator job opportunity must hold a
    Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies/Social Sciences/Community
    Psychology/Counseling or other related field
  • A minimum of five years’ experience in
    implementing Community based health programmes
  • Previous exposure and experience
    implementing MOH and PEPFAR Community Health Frameworks
  • Proven experience with Participatory
    Community Approaches
  • Strong partnership and collaborative
    skills
  • Excellent communication (oral and written)
    skills,
  • Good teaching/presentation skills;
  • Highly analytical and good decision making
    skills;
  • Good problem solving skills;
  • Computer literacy skills i.e. proficiency
    in various MS office packages.
  • Show commitment to quality and excellence,
    and holding the highest levels of integrity and confidentiality.
  • Highly flexible and reliable
  • Evidence of a non-judgemental approach
    regarding race, religion, culture, sexuality and lifestyle is critical.
