Key Duties and
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct oversight of the project
cycle management - Tasked with the implementation of an
integrating approach in response to malnutrition (prevention, referral of
malnutrition at community level, nutrition sensitive livelihood, WASH/WASH
in Nut) - Ensure that technical guideline and
standard set by Action Against Hunger are applied in the three sectors. - Keenly monitor and Put in place systems of
data collection concerning the different activities of the project as a
basis for the evaluation and furtherance of the programme. - Ensure that all sub sectors within the
integrated program are implemented at the same, acceptable pace. - Coordinate and supervise the technical
implementation of the project in three different location making sure this
implementation goes at the same rhythm. - Keenly track and monitor all targets set
in the project documents and ensure complete adherence the deadlines. - Take an active role in improvement of
existing projects and development of new proposals. - Supervise and consolidate the procurement
requests (PRs) for all location making sure the PRs are done in time. - Ensure full compliance with financial and
logistics guidelines in all project accountabilities/transactions. - Consolidate
the information on financial implementation in the three locations and
Conduct Budget FollowUp (BFU) meetings every month. - Ensure that budget is spent every month as
planned in the forecast and ensure that budget is effectively consumed at
the end of the project. - Conduct project kickoff meeting, Midterm
review & end of project meetings. - Oversee the recruitment of staff in
consultation with the Field Coordinator. - Supervise the program staff in the three
locations of the project with regular visits in each location. - Carry out regular performance appraisal
for the staffs supervised ensuring that performance management practices
are properly adhered to. - Offer support, guidance and closely follow
up the work of the Deputy Programme Manager in each location. - Ensure that all programme staff know and
apply the recommended technical standard and approaches in programme
implementation. - Identify the teams’ training needs based
on assessments and observations of needed training needs of staff and
programme level - Ensuring the quality and pertinence of
training programmes established for the Action Against Hunger teams - Resolve problems arising in the teams with
the support of team managers and, when necessary, in consultation with
Human Resources - Prepare weekly, monthly, Quarterly, final
& annual internal & donor reports as per the set guidelines. - Compile a regular summary of indicators
for his/her programme (APR) to enhance indicator tracking and information
sharing. - Participate in the compilation of special
activity reports, assessment reports, surveys, studies among others. - Take lead in the documentation of lessons
learnt, and success stories to inform organizational learning. - Represent Action Against Hunger in various
fora including Technical Sector working groups, planning meetings, joint
Monitoring and other platforms and competently explain Action Against
hunger’s vision mission, objectives, operations, and any other matter as
need may be. - Develop a framework for communication with
local representatives (regular meetings, identification of key local
actors and development of collaboration with them) to facilitate
harmonious and productive relations
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
Experience:
- The ideal candidate for the Action Against
Hunger (ACF) Program Manager SIDA job opportunity should preferably hold a
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree preferably in Nutrition, Public Health,
Water Engineering, Agriculture, chemistry, or related biological &
physical sciences. - At least five years with humanitarian
experience implementing integrated programing in emergency context
involving nutrition, WASH, and FSL. - Excellent communication, writing and
analytical skills - Good team management and representation
competencies - Familiarity with ACF and acceptance of
ACF’s principles - Additional experience in community
mobilisation, hygiene promotion and work with refugee settlements. - Significant exposure and experience with
INGOs in recovery and complex emergencies. - Previous experience with partnerships
development and alliances will be an asset. - Good experience with nutrition and
coverage surveys, and rapid nutrition assessments. - Good knowledge of budget management
- Previous exposure and experience in
assessment, monitoring or evaluation of projects - Familiarity with Action Against Hunger
core values and acceptance of Action Against Hunger principle - Computer literacy skills i.e. proficiency
in Excel and Word is required. - Capacity to organize and supervise the
work of the team with strong ability to make decisions with minimal
supervision. - Ability to speak Arabic, Aringa. Madi,
Dinka, Kakwa, Lugbara, Nuer, Swahili will be an added advantage - The ideal candidate must be a resident or
willing to reside in Yumbe
