About US:
The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria (GFATM) is an
International Partnership that provides grants to lower income countries with
high HIV, Malaria and Tuberculosis disease burden. The Fund also supports
health service delivery through grants that are dedicated to health and
community systems strengthening. These resources are additional to and not a
replacement for financing to the health sector from recipient Governments.
Recipient Countries are required to demonstrate transparency, traceability,
attribution and efficient accountability of the resources.

Key Duties and
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
- The jobholder will manage the Human
resources and administration support function to the program office. - Serve as a key liaison between the FCU and
the M&E specialists in the programs - Support the grant in proposal writing and
resource mobilization - Actively participate in preparation of
annual work plans - Act as minute secretary to key GF and
other program meetings - Actively participate in formulation of MO
Us and coordinating stakeholders - Coordinate reports (quarterly, annual
& monthly) - Coordinate input into the PSM plan and
Performance Framework preparation - Receive, verify and disseminate data
- The incumbent will also coordinate
meetings - Oversee GF Records and information
management - Coordinate all GF programme logistical
requirements related to the HIV program
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
Experience:
- The ideal candidate for the Global Fund
Health Program Officer job opportunity must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in
any of the following; Social Works and Social Administration, development
Studies, Public Administration or business administration with a bias in
Management. - Possession of a Master’s degree in the
field of Human resources, social sciences or related discipline is
mandatory - Post graduate Diploma project management,
general management, and human resources is a desirable. - At least five years’ experience in
programming or administrative human resources development. - Experience of working with governments,
non-governmental organizations and/or research institutions, in Uganda. - Knowledge in managing donor aided programs
and public sector experience will be added advantage - Good team management, relationship
management, good communication and interpersonal skills. - Demonstrated leadership experience and
excellent negotiation skills are desirable.
