Group, which is East & Central Africa’s largest multi-media group.

Job Summary: The Creative Video Editor will be responsible for editing in-house
videos and audio material for news programmes, special investigative pieces,
documentaries, features and promos within set deadlines for both NTV / SPARK TV. 

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Receive
    video and audio materials on tapes from Reporters and Producers and
    preview material received to ascertain the quality
  • Piece
    together the pictures and sound of material received to tell the story by
    enhancing the quality of the programme with appealing music, visual and
    sound effects
  • Ensure
    that the programme is of the required time and duration without distorting
    the message
  • In
    charge of recording/downloading news clips and programs on tapes for the
    transmission desk to be aired within set deadlines

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The
    applicant should preferably hold a good university degree
  • Possession
    of a Professional Diploma in Film & Video Production (will be of an
    added advantage)
  • Three
    or more years of practical work experience in a TV station or an
    established Production House
  • Multilingual
    Voice-over and Subtitling programming capability
  • Fluency
    in English language (both spoken and written)
  • Possess
    the ability to remain calm, in control and good humored even under
    pressure
  • Ability
    to work long and odd hours in a fast paced environment
