Job Summary: The Accounts
Officer will primarily manage all financial transactions including income and
expenditure accounts, ensuring accountability, preparing reports in line with
financial regulations.

Key Duties and
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
- Guiding on financial decisions of the
SACCO. - Tasked with managing the financial
resources, including advising on income and expenditure. - Offering technical support in the SACCO
planning and budgeting process. - Send to management accountabilities for
all financial transactions. - Providing management with monthly,
quarterly, and annual financial reports for decision making. - Tasked with ensuring that all financial
records and books of accounts, including bank reconciliation statements
are regularly updated. - Mentoring and supervising staff in the
section. - Responsible for the maintenance of the
SACCO asset register. - Ensuring timely payments for goods and
services provided to the SACCO. - Perform any other duties as assigned from
time to time, in relation to the position.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
Experience:
- The applicant should preferably hold a
Bachelor’s degree (with a bias in Accounting). - Computer knowledge of Accounting or
Econometric packages. - Membership with either ACCA, CPA or ICSA
will be an added advantage. - At least five years of related working
experience with a Banking institution or a Microfinance. - Excellent interpersonal skills
- Analytical skills and ability to write
concise report, - Ability to summarize large amounts of
information into simple reports, - Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work under stressful conditions
- Ability to meet strict deadlines
