Oxfam’s areas of intervention include WASH, Emergency Food Security and
Vulnerable Livelihoods (EFSVL), Gender and Protection. Oxfam works with local
partners as a strategy for building humanitarian preparedness and response
capacity within the organisations.
Responsibilities:
- The Logistics/Administration Officer will
oversee logistics operations with a particular focus on fleet, procurement
and adequate stewardship of agency resources (Assets); - Manage all local procurement activities of
the office according to Oxfam procurement regulations. - The incumbent will ensure that there is an
approved purchase request for all purchases with valid project/fund
numbers dully filled out before any purchase is made. - The jobholder will also implement and
document Oxfam standard procedures and practices of purchasing, and
promote accountability of resources. - Oversee and supervise the work of the
drivers to ensure proper vehicle allocations, tracking of vehicle related
costs inclusive of monitoring maintenance/repair/service schedules and
fuel. - In addition, this role shall facilitate
provision of HR, administrative and other support services at location and
work with the Field HR Officer and the HR Team in Kampala on staff related
matters.
Experience:
- The ideal candidate for the Oxfam Logistics/Administration
Officer job placement must hold a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. - Previous exposure and experience
