in Palorinya; under the Primary Health Care Project [Provision of Primary
Health Care, Reproductive Health, Nutrition and HIV Care Services] for the
South Sudanese Population planning group currently settled in Palorinya, Moyo.

Job Summary: The HIV/SRH
Officer will anchor a team of Clinical staff at Health Centers in Palorinya to
implement and scale up HIV, Sexual and Reproductive Health intervention as per
the MISP and the National protocol for comprehensive HIV/TB management. The
resident HIV/SRH Officer shall provide technical oversight, mentorship and
oversee the Implementation of HIV/SRH related intervention within the Palorinya
settlement. He or She shall also be a focal point and coordinate MTI’s work
alongside the complementary action by other actors on the Ground.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Medical Coordinator
shall support and coordinate all aspects of HIV/SRH interventions directly
or indirectly through HIV focal persons at HCs. - The incumbent will coordinate and in
liaison with other actors, support the HIV ART clinic accreditation
processes for key selected HCs in Palorinya. - Work in close collaboration with other
actors on the ground support the onsite mentorship and general capacity
building for staff on The New Revised HIV Comprehensive care and management
Protocol. - Actively participate and through the
Community Health Structures scale up the Behavior Change Communication
messaging and social mobilization on joint action to combat HIV. - Take part in planning, support and guide
activity implementation against work plan, identify gaps and make
recommendations to address identified gaps. - The incumbent will prepare weekly, monthly
or quarterly reports in standard reporting format and shall ensure timely
submission of the reports. - Perform any other duties as assigned from
time to time.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
Experience:
- The ideal candidate should possess a
Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Community Health, Registered Nursing or
its equivalent from a reputably recognized Institution; - A minimum of three years progressive
working experience in a Project Implementing the Uganda Comprehensive HIV
Care and Management Program. - Registration with the Various Uganda
Regulatory Body, with a valid Practicing License is mandatory - An additional qualification in Public Health
or Project Planning & Management shall be an added advantage. - Team Building skills and experience of
working in hard to reach areas. - Good computer skills especially in MS Word
and MS excel with good report writing and presentation skills.
