Job Summary: The Driver will
provide transport services as may be required by the Board.
Key Duties and
Responsibilities:  
  • Tasked with driving to assigned
    destinations.
  • In charge of the maintenance in a cost
    effective and efficient manner and repair as required.
  • Conduct daily assessment of the vehicle to
    maintain the highest level of standards.
  • Responsible for monitoring and prompt
    reporting of damage or malfunction of the vehicle to the Officer in charge
    of transport.
  • Maintaining and updating the Vehicle log
    book all the time.
  • Keeping the assigned vehicle clean at all
    times and carrying out regular checks for validity of insurance and first
    Aid contents
  • Perform any other duties that may be
    assigned from time to time by the supervisor or a competent authority.



Qualifications, Skills and
Experience: 
  • The applicant for the Driver job must hold
    a Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) with at least a pass in English.
    Possession of a Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) is an
    added advantage.
  • Possess a valid driving permit with
    Classes B, CH and DL.
  • Hold a Certificate in Defensive Driving or
    basic mechanical engineering qualification is an added advantage.
  • At least five years’ experience of driving
    and maintaining vehicles in the Public Sector or similar organization.
  • Impeccable level of integrity.
  • Excellent interpersonal, team building and
    communication skills.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
  • Fluency in Kiswahili is an added
    advantage.
  • Confidentiality, Diligence and Reliability.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Excellent customer relations skills.
  • Age: Between 25-45 years old
