Job Summary: The Quality
Improvement Officer will support the Quality Improvement Coordinator to work
with the other technical team to effectively implement, document and report
Quality Improvement activities to strengthen quality of health care services
at Mengo Hospital as per the National
and WHO Standards.

Key Duties and
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
- Provide QI coaching support to the
different teams to promote the use of the model for improvement and 5S
methodologies - Prepare and submit monthly and quarterly
QI work plans and reports - Coordinate regular assessments and
monitoring visits to ensure compliance to MOH service delivery standards - Support ward managers to coordinate and
facilitate monthly facility performance review and quality improvement
meetings - The incumbent will support the ward
managers and Heads of Departments to coordinate quarterly integrated QI
coaching and mentorship activities for the health facility in the
respective departments. - Coordinate quarterly cluster QI learning
sessions in collaboration with the ward managers - Coordinate the documentation and
dissemination of QI success stories at all levels within the Hospital. - Provide support in the assessment and
strengthening of infection control and waste management activities at all
facilities - Provide oversight and coordination of
client satisfaction surveys, providing support to services for the
development, implementation and collation of surveys, analysis and
reporting of results

Experience:

- The ideal candidate for the Quality
Improvement Officer job opportunity should preferably hold a Bachelors’
Degree of Science Nursing / Double Registered Nurse /Midwife - Possession of a valid registration
certificate from the relevant regulatory bodies - A minimum of two years’ experience in
implementing Quality Improvement approaches in a similar position - Excellent communication or interpersonal
skills are desired - Should have training skills and
presentation skills, - Excellent report writing monitoring and
evaluation skills - Good computer skills
