Job Summary: The Project
Manager will provide broad managerial support to the planning and
implementation of the CDC–funded project Accelerating Epidemic Control in Fort
Portal Region in the Republic of Uganda under the President’s Emergency Plan
for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR). Note: this position is contingent upon receipt of
award and donor approval. The incumbent will manage the development of work
plans, the monitoring of project implementation, and project-related reporting.
The PM plays a key role in ensuring that project activities are effectively
supported in the technical, programmatic, financial, and administrative
domains. Additionally, the PM will supervise key staff and will be responsible
for day to day management of the project’s technical assistance (TA) and
capacity building activities.

- Work with the Project Director, and other
key staff to coordinate project activities - Supervise technical leads, providing
oversight and guidance on how to plan and implement project activities - Coordinate with administrative staff to
ensure efficient operations and support for the project - Support the Project Director with the
organization of meetings and liaise with project partners as needed. - Coordinate data analysis activities and
subsequent report writing. - Lead ICAP’s work to route, review and
approve project-related grant actions - Triage and coordinate the development of
responses to requests from the funder, including annual (or more periodic)
work plans, budgets, and progress reports - Support the development and execution of
agreements with collaborating partners - Manage the logistics, content, and
evaluation of project -related meetings, conferences, trainings, and
workshops - Synthesize and disseminate lessons learned
and best practices - Ensure integration and use of monitoring
and evaluation within the project - Ensure clear communication with donors,
partners and with ICAP Headquarters - Travel to field sites as needed.

Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
Experience:
- The applicant must hold an Advanced degree
in medicine, public health, public administration, or management - At least five years of project management
experience, preferably in Uganda - Excellent communication, writing, and
quantitative skills - Ability to establish and maintain
effective working relationships with donors, implementing partners, and
other stakeholders - Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and
projects while working as part of a team - Experience working with U.S. Government or
other bi-lateral donors preferred. - Excellent verbal and written communication
skills in English.
