Help International (AAH)
Hilfe e. V (AAH) and was registered in Munich, Germany from where our founders
in 2003 moved the organisation’s headquarters to Kenya. AAH-I now works with
refugees, host communities and other marginalized and vulnerable groups in
Kenya, Uganda, Somalia and South Sudan, where it operates across a range of
sectors that seek to bridge relief to development.

Assistant will cater for nutritional needs of patients by providing both
patients and caretakers with quality and sustainable nutritional supplements
according to the Nutrition unit guidelines and Project Standard Operating
Procedures.
Responsibilities:
The
jobholder will prepare and follow up requisitions for food supplements for
purchase to avail edibles or nourishments for patients and caretakers on every
clinic date
Give
health/nutrition education/ counselling to patients and caretakers on every
clinic visit as per health centre and project guidelines.
Prepare
and serve nutritious porridge and snacks to patients and Care takers in line
with Nutrition unit guidelines
Distribute
food supplements like, Soya, Milk, to patients in accordance with Project and
donor guidelines.
Register
and record balances for the daily supplies, items requested and issued to
patients in line with project deliverable
Maintain
an organised, tidy, safe and hygienic nutrition unit in line with the nutrition
unit guidelines.
Perform
any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

produced and submitted on time
Community
awareness carried out and nutritional related illnesses reduced
Malnutrition
case screening conducted and documented
Experience:

Uganda (AAH U) Nutrition Assistant job opportunity should hold a Higher Diploma in Nutrition Management or
a related field
A
minimum of three years’ experience in similar or higher position.
Previous
experience in food and beverage preparation
Excellent
inter-personal and communication skills
Excellent
command of both written and spoken English
Patient
and of a pleasant character
Excellent
presentation skills
Able
to capacity build and develop others
Ability
to mobilize different audiences
Ability
to ride motorcycle, with a valid rider permit
